The busy season of the container transport in Australia is fast approaching. Our aim is to proactively plan ahead and work collaboratively with you to ensure the smooth delivery of your containers and shipments at this time.

Please note the process for notifying VISA for pick up of empty containers from your premises, ready for dehire is detailed below. VISA will not be liable for charges for container detention (late de-hire of empty containers) unless we have been advised as follows;

1. By email to fremantletransport@visaglobal.com.au ; or
2. By notification through VISA’s OneTrack software platform.

While we are happy to assist by phone, we require notifications in writing.

Once notification in accordance with the above has occurred, VISA will continue to have no liability for container detention until after;

1. Three full working days after it has been notified either by email or through VISA OneTrack, that the container is both empty and available for collection.

2. Where a public holiday falls in any month;

a. Where only one public holiday falls in any month until after 4 full working days after VISA has been notified either by email or through VISA OneTrack, that the container is both empty and available for collection;

b. Where more than one public holiday falls in any month until after 5 full working days after VISA has been notified either by email or through VISA OneTrack, that the container is both empty and available for collection.

VISA endeavours to dehire your empty containers before container detention charges are incurred; however, the situation with the de-hire process makes the empty container de-hire process very difficult.

Should you have any questions regarding the notification process, please contact your VISA Representative.
